About the Role
You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic while driving continuous improvement across clinical workflows, business systems. The role requires a balance of leadership, process optimisation, and system-level thinking.
This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of healthcare management experience.
A Bachelor Degree qualification is required for this role.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Strategy
* Lead practice operations including workforce coordination, rostering, and service delivery
* Develop and monitor business plans, budgets, and performance metrics
* Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across clinical and admin workflows
* Work closely with doctors and stakeholders to align operational and clinical priorities
Finance & Compliance
* Manage financial performance including billing, debtors/creditors, and reporting
* Ensure compliance with RACGP standards, accreditation, and healthcare regulations
* Oversee risk management, incident reporting, and quality improvement initiatives
* Maintain compliance with privacy, employment law, and taxation obligations
Systems & IT (Light Technical Focus)
* Oversee clinical software (e.g., Best Practice), integrations, and digital workflows
* Experience with practice management software is required, with any system background being acceptable.
* Maintain business continuity plans, system backups, and secure data handling processes
* Drive digital improvements including automation, reporting dashboards, and workflow enhancements
People & Leadership
* Lead and support non-clinical staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
* Train staff on systems, workflows, and compliance requirements
* Manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance development
About You
* Experience in healthcare, primary care, or similar service-based environments
* Strong understanding of practice operations, Medicare billing, and compliance frameworks
* Exposure to reporting tools, or data-driven decision-making
* Ability to analyse workflows and implement system/process improvements
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
* Experience with clinical software (e.g., Best Practice, HotDoc)
* Familiarity with data tools (Power BI, Excel modelling)

Pay: $77,000.00 – $86,000.00 per year
