About the role:
* Strategic procurement and business partnering, acting as the lead for critical categories including raw materials, contractors, services, fixings and consumables.
- Building relationships with key suppliers and distributors, and managing relevant internal and external stakeholders.
* Strategic procurement and business partnering, whilst acting as the business lead for critical categories including raw materials, contractors, services, fixings and consumables
* Sourcing and contracting, leading RFx's, tenders and supplier evaluations
* Building relationships with key suppliers and distributors, and managing stakeholders
* Ensuring adherence to procurement policies and ethical sourcing standards
* Managing risk and supporting ESG initiatives
* Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in purchasing/supply chain management.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
* Minimum 5 years procurement experience in manufacturing, construction or industrial supply
* Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in purchasing/supply or
* CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification
* Familiarity with eProcurement tools (Jaggaer, Dynamics 365 or similar)
* Skilled in negotiation, contract management and supplier management
* Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
* Proficiency in utilising procurement analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive supplier performance.
* Knowledge of ESG considerations in raw materials and contractor supply chains
* Strong knowledge of raw materials sourcing, including steel, coil and structural products
* Class C Drivers Licence (P1, P2, or Full unrestricted Licence)
