Key Responsibilities
As the Chief Electrical Project Engineer, you will oversee the electrical systems for multi-format end-of-line packaging machinery and equipment, coordinating closely with installation and production teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, developing, and implementing electrical diagrams and layouts for multi-format packaging machinery and equipment.
2. Selecting, planning, and monitoring electrical materials.
3. Coordinating and supervising on-site electrical installations to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
4. Specifying electrical components, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting electrical system integration.
5. Managing tools and technical resources for installation and commissioning.
6. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during implementation.
7. Ensuring all electrical systems and installations meet Australian standards and safety regulations.
8. Real-time decision-making and on-site monitoring of electrical systems.
Key Skills and Technical Knowledge
Regulations and Technical Adaptations
Strong knowledge of national and state electrical and industrial regulations, including the Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2004 No 4 (NSW), the Electricity (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2015, AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and the technical specifications of packaging machinery to ensure necessary adaptations.
Multi-format Technology and Industry 4.0
Expertise in multi-format technology with automatic changeover systems.
Familiarity with Industry 4.0 software and solutions across diverse sectors.
Experience in commissioning projects involving multi-format end-of-line packaging machinery and equipment at customer premises, ensuring correct operation of all electrical and control systems.
Global Project Vision
Proven track record in the comprehensive management and supervision of packaging projects, specialising in multi-format systems from an electrical engineering perspective.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
Advanced skills in diagnosing and resolving electrical, electronic, and control-related issues under pressure.
Electrical Design
Experience in preparing and modifying electrical schematics using tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical.
Knowledge of the integration and maintenance of industrial robots (FANUC, KUKA and ABB collaborative robots) for product handling.
Industrial Communications
Proficiency with communication processes and protocols, including EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP, CANopen, EtherCAT for ensuring continuous connectivity and synchronisation.
Priority Management and Adaptability
Ability to identify priorities and adapt to urgent situations during critical project phases.
Required Experience
At least 1 year of experience working as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical and Electronic Engineer in projects and equipment using multi-format end-of-line packaging machinery.
Direct TAVIL experience is not required, but familiarity with similar project scopes, technologies, and equipment is essential.
