The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is a unique entity in Australia, delivering high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services through a single agency. As an auxiliary firefighter, you will be part of a team that responds to fire and other emergency incidents, promotes community safety and emergency preparedness, and develops competencies through regular drills and training courses.
Key Accountabilities
* Respond to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting a positive team approach and adhering to legislative, policy, and procedural requirements.
* Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities.
* Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by QFES.
* Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
* Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.
