Working closely with a team of Project Managers, you’ll help keep projects on track by coordinating procurement, budgets, suppliers, compliance and documentation. About the role: On a day to day basis this role will liaise with internal departments and external commercial customers to coordinate, organise and manage upcoming projects and oversee the full administrative remit this process requires. Working within the project team, you will ensure smooth operations and timely outcomes for all projects currently in play and on the horizon. Key responsibilities: Support Project Managers in the administrative and commercial management of projects. Set up and maintain projects in project management systems. Create and manage purchase orders in line with approved budgets. Track budgets, commitments, variations and invoices to ensure cost control. Coordinate supplier and subcontractor documentation, contracts and compliance records. Liaise with third-party engineers, certifiers and approval bodies. Coordinate site deliveries and ensure procurement aligns with project program. Process subcontractor claims and supplier invoices for PM approval. Maintain accurate project documentation, registers and reporting. Support monthly forecasting and cash flow tracking. Ensure administrative processes are followed consistently across projects. Identify process improvement opportunities to increase operational efficiency. To be considered for this position, you should have the following experience and attributes: 3 years’ experience in contract administration, project coordination or commercial support in construction, solar, electrical or infrastructure sectors. Strong financial and numerical literacy. Experience working with project management and financial systems. Understanding of construction contracts, variations and procurement processes. High proficiency in Excel and project management software. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Detail-oriented and highly organised. Process-driven and systematic. Strong follow-through and task discipline. Collaborative and supportive team player. Commercially aware with a cost-control mindset. Takes pride in accuracy and clean documentation. Experience in the renewables or construction sector would be highly regarded, but not essential.
