Genetic Counsellor
As a genetic counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance to individuals and families at risk of hereditary cancer.
The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, supervise students and offer consultation across NSW. Key responsibilities include developing care plans for complex cases using tools like TrackGene and risk prediction models, collaborating with health professionals, community groups and agencies to provide specialist consultation, and supervising staff and students, demonstrating clinical leadership within multidisciplinary teams.
About You:
* Must have an undergraduate degree in a non-nursing, non-medical discipline and a postgraduate qualification in genetic counselling.
* Hold Part II certification in genetic counselling from the Human Genetics Society of Australasia.
* Have extensive postgraduate clinical experience in cancer genetic counselling.
