Our Perinatal Mental Health Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering psychological support to expectant and new parents at our soon to be established Gidget House site in Murray Bridge.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mental health professional to work with a dynamic and dedicated team, providing individual and parent-infant therapies to women and their partners. Our specialist perinatal clinicians provide a wide range of services, including pre-conception counselling, support for those experiencing or at risk of developing perinatal depressive, anxiety and trauma or stressor-related disorders.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, share your expertise and skills, and contribute to the development of our perinatal mental health program. You will also have access to ongoing supervision and training opportunities, as well as the chance to collaborate with other professionals in the field.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated proficiency in comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy relevant to expectant and new parents with perinatal mental health issues.
* AHPRA registration with endorsements in psychology or accreditation as a mental health social worker if relevant.
* At least 3 years post-registration experience, with specific experience working with perinatal clients or in a complementary field.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a recovery-oriented model, utilising a person/family centred approach.
* Demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
