Senior Safety Advisor

The Project
McConnell Dowell and CPB Contractors along with design partners Mott McDonald, Arup and Aurecon have been awarded the Tram Grade Separation Projects as an Alliance comprising works at three main locations along the Glenelg Tram Line. The level crossings at Marion Road and Cross Road will be replaced by tram overpasses removing the interface with road traffic and creating new public spaces beneath. This project will improve network efficiency and safety at their locations for all users.
Your Opportunity
This is a fixed term contract role commencing immediately through till late December ****. You will support and coordinate safety practices systems and procedures while ensuring compliance and promoting a safe productive work environment. Minimum Requirements
Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
2 years experience in a similar role on road or rail infrastructure construction projects
Driver's licence and construction industry white card
Sound understanding of Construction Safety legislation
Demonstrable experience of Safety Management System implementation
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse communities.
A detail-oriented professional with the ability to identify issues develop solutions and work independently.
Ability to effectively prioritise and manage assigned workload
