About us
With 120 inpatient Surgical and Medical beds, a rehabilitation gym, 7 operating theatres, 2 procedure rooms, a day oncology unit and an ICU, Sunnybank Private Hospital has been providing care to our local community for over 40 years and continually embraces the highest quality of holistic patient care.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment for Sunnybank Private Hospital of 8 operating theatres.
Reporting to the CSSD Manager, you will work closely with an efficient and supportive professional team to assist the perioperative team to deliver the best care for our patients.
Duties may include but are not limited to
* Providing timely sterile products, trays, and equipment where applicable
* You will be rotated in various allocated areas in the department and the Endoscope cleaning room
* You will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas and CSSD whilst practising exceptional customer service and maintaining the high operational standards of the sterilisation department
Your Skills and Experience
* To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum Cert 3 qualification in Sterilising Services
* Prior experience working in a Sterilising Unit – preferably
* Your positive attitude will enable you to work effectively alongside our team and independently as required
* You will be customer service oriented in both internal and external settings
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
* Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
