As part of the Works unit, this position is primarily responsible for the proficient in the safe and efficient operation of a range of plant associated with road maintenance and construction activities.
Leading grading operations within their team, the role requires an individual that has a high level of skill in grader operations as their primary function. The position also requires an individual who is skilled in managing staff and coordinating and planning day-to-day activities.
This position plays an important role in supporting the development of the Road Maintenance Section, assisting in the ongoing development of individual staff skills, and contributing to a positive team environment.
A key focus of the role is to support strong relationships between Council and the community through the delivery of high-quality programs and works that enhance the public image of Council.
By special appointment, this position may also assist in supervising the Beaufort outdoor team during periods when the Works Officer is on leave or absent.
This position plays a key role within the organisation and would be extremely rewarding to the successful applicant.
