Clinical Nurse Consultant Role
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided in the Operating Theatre. You will oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards and support and liaise with the Perioperative Services Manager, staff and VMO anaesthetist.
* Understand legislative requirements, ACORN and sterilization standards.
* Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality/Risk management.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Current Registration with AHPRA.
* Previous experience in a CN/Recovery/PACU role or been practicing in the role of anaesthetic nurse for more than 3-4 years in a team leader role.
* Completed relevant postgraduate qualification or commitment to commence within 12 months of appointment.
* Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
* Compliance with NSQHC National standards.
* Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in similar positions (desired).
* Excellent Communication and Customer Services skills.
* Highly organized and strong ability to prioritize tasks.
