- Standing together in the struggle for justice.

Strong union workplaces deliver better outcomes for workers and the community.

About The Role
As a Lead Organiser, you are accountable for the performance, development, and outcomes of an organising team working across WA public sector workplaces.

This is a senior leadership role, where your ability to inspire, mentor, and develop others will drive membership growth, build strong delegate structures, and deliver effective organising and campaign outcomes aligned with the Union's strategic priorities.

You will combine people leadership with organising expertise, campaign, and sound industrial judgement. You will be expected to set direction, manage performance, and support your team to achieve tangible results for members.

Key Responsibilities
You will:

* Lead, manage and coach a team to grow membership and develop workplace leaders, with clear accountability for performance and outcomes.
* Allocate work, set priorities, and conduct regular planning, review, and evaluation of growth activities.
* Foster a positive, safe, and values-aligned environment where people feel supported and valued.
* Build strong relationships with members, delegates, and stakeholders.
* Drive innovative organising strategies and campaigns that align with our union's strategic goals.
* Model our values in every interaction—because how we work matters as much as what we achieve.

About You
You bring:

* Experience leading and developing a small team in union organising, campaigning, community development, or a comparable environment.
* A strong understanding of organising principles and the ability to translate strategy into practical, day-to-day action.
* Confidence navigating industrial and workplace issues, including negotiation and advocacy.
* Well-developed communication skills and the ability to influence, coach, and provide clear feedback.
* The ability to manage competing priorities, resources, and workloads while maintaining focus on people and outcomes.
* Leadership credibility grounded in accountability, integrity, and union values.
* A Passion for mentoring and developing others, with a collaborative leadership style.

Experience in union campaigning is highly regarded, but we are most interested in your ability to lead people, build power, and deliver results.

A current C or C-A Class driver's license is required.

Why join us?

* Lead work that directly improves the lives of public sector workers across WA.
* Operate in a role with real influence over people, campaigns, and strategy.
* Be trusted to lead, innovate, and make decisions in a values-driven, member-led organisation.
* Work alongside committed colleagues who believe in collective action and meaningful change.
* Be supported in your development, with lots of opportunities to expand your capabilities and strengthen existing skills.
* Competitive employment conditions, including generous annual and personal leave entitlements.
* Flexible working conditions to suit your lifestyle to achieve work/life balance, including options for 9-day fortnight, flexi time or work from home days.
