Job Title: Horse Float Assembly

Location: 793 Windsor Road, Box Hill NSW2765

Reports to: Workshop supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a skilled and diligent technician to join our team and contribute to our reputation for excellence.

Position Summary:

The Horse Float Assembly is responsible for the precise assembly of new horse float units and the expert servicing, repair, and maintenance of existing horse floats. This hands-on role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to producing work of the highest standard for our equine and customer safety.

Assembly :

* Install axles, suspension systems, lighting, and wiring harnesses etc.
* Fit interior fittings.
* Install and configure horse safety features
* Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on completed units to ensure they meet all quality, safety, and functional standards.
* Prepare floats for customer delivery, including final cleaning and detailing.

General Duties:

* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
* Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in good working order.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, especially when handling heavy components and working at height.
* Complete job documentation, service reports, and timesheets accurately and on time.
* Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience in a similar role
* Strong mechanical and practical skills with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
* Ability to weld (MIG) is highly desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy items and work in various positions.
* A valid driver's license. A forklift license is a plus.
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
* Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
