Overview
Story Dogs is a unique reading support program for primary school children. It is a fast growing progressive organisation that is seeking new coordinators to support the volunteer dog teams delivering the program in local schools.
If you enjoy working with children, dogs and people this is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer and be part of a national, non-for-profit fun reading program. Help children find the magic in becoming lifelong readers.
Responsibilities
* Volunteer as a reading support dog team with your dog in your local area.
* Help interested people become Story Dogs volunteers by working with an experienced dog trainer (sourced by Story Dogs) who will assess the suitability of the dog and the volunteer.
* Guide new volunteers through a training video and manual to prepare them for helping children in a school.
* Contact primary schools and link the volunteers with a school that suits them.
* Receive training and assistance from Story Dogs so you can undertake these tasks.

* Be able to work from home with no set times.
