We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive individual to join our Road Injuries team as a Legal Assistant in a permanent full-time role at our Traralgon office.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing incoming calls and client enquiries, coordinating appointments and diaries, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, preparing documents, maintaining files, and supporting the legal team with general administrative tasks.
As part of a small, supportive team, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality legal and administrative support while providing outstanding service to our clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, and be able to prioritise tasks and stay calm under pressure.
A proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships, combined with clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, when dealing with clients and colleagues, is essential for this role.
You will also possess a proactive attitude and the initiative to tackle tasks independently, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.

* Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a law firm environment (preferred)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
* Ability to prioritise tasks and stay calm under pressure
* A proactive attitude and the initiative to tackle tasks independently
* Comfortable working in fast-paced environments while consistently meeting deadlines
* High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
* Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, when dealing with clients and colleagues
* A proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
* Team player who can also work autonomously when required
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to elevate issues appropriately to your supervisor
* Competence in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) to perform day-to-day tasks efficiently
