HSEQ & HR OFFICER

The successful applicant will be highly organised, well presented, professional and a good communicator to all groups. Must be able to work well within a team and individually as required.
Duties & responsibilities include (but not limited too):
* Assist in business planning and development
* Prepare management plans for all projects where this is a client requirement, or the value is over $450k
* Prepare SWMS for high risk construction work on all projects
* Prepare Inspection and Test Plans as required by Client
* Attendance at weekly management meetings
* Provide advice to Management and Workers on WHS and legislative requirements
* Attendance at Client meetings as required by Management
* Performance of site inspections for Safety, Quality and Environmental purposes
* First point of contact for incident reporting
* Manage the reporting and resolution of actions from incidents
* Liaison with Insurers for Return to Work SA Claims
* Manage the investigation of incidents
* Assist Management with the preparation of tenders as required
* Assist Management with the procurement of goods and services as required
* Assist and manage various aspects of employment including recruitment, training and workplace conflicts
* Assist in IT development and platforms for the business
* Possess a good sense of humour
Skills & experience include:
* Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant HSEQ legislation within the Building and Construction & Civil Construction Industry
* Understanding of HRM in the workplace
* Transport Industry knowledge desirable
* Strong communication skills both in written and verbal
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to prioritise work and manage time efficiently and appropriately
* Current Drivers Licence
