About the Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Secondary Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about delivering high‐quality instruction and lifting student achievement.
Key Responsibilities
* Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‐centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices.
* Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programmes and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes to students, parents and the community.
* Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture.
* Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
* Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
* Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
Qualifications
* Creating a supportive, learner‐focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
* Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
* Commitment to engage with colleagues, students and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students.
* A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development.
* Not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements
* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
* Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
