Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (SA) Aboriginal Corporation (ADAC) offers a range of alcohol and drug harm minimisation and treatment programs to Aboriginal and other vulnerable people in our regions of service. Our programs provide support to clients who live or come from South Australia and are experiencing problems caused by alcohol and drug use.


About the Lemongrass Project


The Lemongrass Project helps Aboriginal offenders transition from prison back into community. The program focuses on supporting people with alcohol and other drug challenges, helping them reconnect with services, culture, family and community so they can move forward positively.


About the Role


We are seeking an experienced, motivated and culturally aware Case Manager to join the Lemongrass team.

This role supports people as they prepare to leave the correctional system, helping them build confidence, structure, and access to supports they will need in everyday life.

You will work closely with prison staff, community corrections, Aboriginal liaison officers, families, and service providers in Port Augusta. The work is hands-on, community-focused and centred on supporting clients in a respectful, strengths-based way.


What You Will Bring

* Experience in support work, case management, community services, correction services or AOD-related roles
* Understanding of the challenges faced by Aboriginal people transitioning from custody
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to build trust and work in a culturally safe and professional way
* Ability to work independently and maintain accurate documentation
* Current driver's licence
* Valid driver's licence, Working with Vulnerable People Clearance and Working With Children Clearance.


About You

* Experience in community services, disability, AOD, mental health, support work or similar (desirable)
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to remain calm, respectful and professional in challenging situations
* Reliability, cultural respect, and a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
* Ability to follow schedules, routines and organisational processes
* Basic computer and administration capability
* Valid driver's licence, Working with Vulnerable People Clearance and Working With Children Clearance.

This role is based in Port Augusta
