Aboriginal Family Support Services is the leading Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that has been providing services to Aboriginal families and communities across South Australia for over 40 years.
Our Finance Coordinator operates within the Corporate Services team which is vital to the smooth operation of all AFSS services. Consulting with all levels of staff, the Finance Coordinator is responsible for the day to day running of the finance and payroll functions of AFSS. The role oversees the following areas but not exclusive to:
* Payroll
* Cash and Banking
* Accounts Receivable
* Accounts Payable
* Reconciliations and rollover
* Monthly and quarterly financial reporting
* Audit Preparation
The position will also report to and collaborate with the Manager - Finance and Administration which in addition, the role will also assist with asset maintenance, reception, management support, and document management. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and people living with a disability are encouraged to apply.
Who are we looking for
* Demonstrated experience in financial accounting
* Demonstrated experience in Payroll and an understanding of the SCHADS Award
* Experience in the Not-for-Profit Sector
* Have experience in Deputy - Timesheet payroll system
* Experience in Attaché accounting software
* Strong ethic for teamwork
To be successful you will need
* South Australian Drivers Licence
* Safe Environments for Children and Young People (Through Their Eyes)
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* National Police Clearance
* CPA, CA or equivalent accounting qualifications
