Carpenters, Fencers & Electricians Wanted – Townsville Projects (DIDO)

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced Carpenters / Fencers to join our landscaping crew. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing a variety of fence types and a strong work ethic. You'll work on projects involving new fence installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Measure and mark fence layout lines accurately on site
* Dig post holes and set posts using concrete or other methods
* Install various types of fencing (wood, vinyl, chain link, metal, etc.)
* Repair or replace damaged fencing
* Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Read and interpret site plans or customer instructions
* Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
* Maintain a clean and safe job site
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
* Previous fencing or construction experience required
* Ability to lift 25kgs and perform physically demanding work
* Proficiency with fencing tools and equipment
* Reliable transportation to job sites or central yard
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Valid driver's license (preferred)
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Punctual, reliable, and professional attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with both residential and commercial fencing projects
* Familiarity with local zoning and property line regulations
* Basic knowledge of landscaping and outdoor construction is a plus
* OSHA or safety training certifications

* $60 p/h + penalties for qualified carpenters
* Between $40–$60 p/h + penalties for experienced carpenters/fencers

Other Opportunities:
Qualified Electricians and Trade Assistants with civil experience are also needed for a 2-year project at the Townsville Airport starting mid-September.
