Morrissey Consulting Structural Engineers are seeking a draftsperson to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Working as part of the engineering team involved in the engineering design for structural projects.
* Understanding your Work Health and Safety responsibilities within the office and out on site.
* Providing support to the Senior Structural Engineer.
* Prepare detailed drawings for structural projects using AutoCad and Revit would also be beneficial.
* Strong attention to providing accurate details.
* Convert engineer mark-ups and site sketches into accurate CAD drawings.
* Assist with design coordination between engineers, builders, and consultants.
* Maintain drawing standards and project documentation.
* Conduct site visits when required to gather measurements or verify details.
* Demonstrate strong time management skills.
What We Are Looking For
* A basic understanding of structural engineering principles.
* Qualification in Engineering Drafting, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
* Year 12 HSC or equivalent.
* Minimum 2–3 years' experience in structural drafting.
* Strong ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD – Revit would also be beneficial.
* Demonstrates strong initiative and willingness to learn.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good communication (written and verbal) skills.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is mandatory for this position.
