Where You Fit In
As a Health Lead you play a pivotal role in managing risks, preventing harm and supporting physical, psychological & social wellbeing of workers at our Shell QGC operations. You will be a key member of our multidisciplinary Shell Health Australia Team as well as a valued member of Shell Health's global community. Reporting to the Health Manager Australia, you will help position Shell as an industry leader in workforce health and wellbeing.
What's the Role?
You will be responsible for integrating diverse employee health needs across all QGC environments, adapting to evolving business demands. You'll manage key stakeholders and deliver on Health's strategic objectives that support workforce wellbeing and business performance.
In this role you will:
§ Implement Group health strategy and standards across QGC Operations and Projects ensuring compliance with national laws, regulations and industry best practices.
§ Manage and evaluate the delivery of high-quality occupational health services, meeting operational and workforce needs, both directly and through functional supervision of health contractors.
§ Contract Management:
o Serve as the contract holder for the occupational health services provider.
o Support the contract holder for the clinical medical services contract, ensuring high-quality service delivery of site Medical Emergency Response and Health services, readiness, performance monitoring, and alignment with business needs and compliance standards.
§ Support Shell Energy (where applicable) in Australia aligning with Group standards, leveraging regional and global expertise and resources.
§ Support the development and implementation of Health Promotion, psychosocial risk management, and wellbeing programs to enhance workforce wellbeing, resilience and sustainable performance.
§ Support the development, implementation, and evaluation with key stakeholders of a comprehensive, outcome-focused, and equitable Health plan.
§ Influence local stakeholders with regards to broad health risks, requirements and initiatives, including those pertaining to compliance and continuous improvement in the health field
§ Enable the successful embedding of workload discipline and continuous improvement, translating strategic direction into practical actions, and delegation transactional tasks as needed.
§ Foster a matrix organizational culture within the health team, encouraging strong collaboration across both vertical reporting lines and horizontal functional partnerships.

You will also bring:
§ A primary Degree in a health-related field (e.g. Medicine, Nursing, or other Allied Health discipline) or a relevant science-related discipline.
§ Postgraduate tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health or Human Factors are highly desirable.
§ Several years' experience in broad health areas, including health promotion and performance, preferably within the oil and gas or a comparable high-risk industry
§ Proven experience in implementing health and wellbeing programs and initiatives with measurable outcomes.
§ Experience in contract management, including oversight of service delivery and performance evaluation.
§ Strong ability to engage, influence, and build trust with leaders and stakeholders.
§ Demonstrated capability to shape positive team culture, foster collaboration, and drive impactful outcomes through creativity and partnership.
§ Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future challenges and drive continuous improvement.
§ Strong project management, excellent communication (verbal/written) and effective time management skills.
§ A deep commitment to Goal Zero, safety leadership, and personal accountability.
§ Authentic, honest, and transparent communication style.
§ Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a consistent record of delivering results through others where required.
