* Full time, fixed term opportunity until December 2027
* Base salary starting at ($146,197 – 154, % superannuation

About the opportunity

The Sydney Infectious Diseases Institute is a leading hub for research excellence and innovation, fostering collaboration across disciplines to address global challenges in infectious diseases. Bringing together world-class researchers, clinicians, and industry partners, the institute drives impactful outcomes in human health and medical science.

Reporting to Professor Jamie Triccas, Deputy Director of Sydney ID, the Manager, Research Alliances will play a key role in supporting an internationally collaborative program focused on the development of next-generation coronavirus vaccines. This position champions the research grant process from inception to completion, supports the formation of new research partnerships, and drives initiatives that strengthen the university's position as a leader in the research landscape.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced research manager with strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills to contribute to advancing the institute's mission.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

* provide program management for complex multi-partner vaccine research projects, ensuring alignment with strategic and scientific objectives
* coordinate governance, milestones, reporting, and operational activities across internal and external collaborators
* support the research grant and partnership processes, including project tracking, compliance, and deliverable management
* facilitate collaborations between academic, industry, and clinical partners to drive translational impact
* undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.

About you

* postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
* proven ability to manage complex research projects and partnerships
* experience in coordinating grant applications, reporting, and compliance processes.
* excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
* strong organisational and analytical skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
