Overview
Based in our newly established office in West Leederville, WA. This is a rare opportunity to build WA estimating capability from day one within a major projects environment.
The Opportunity
CPP is entering a defining growth phase in Perth. We are establishing and scaling our WA operations with a high‐performing, locally based team to deliver complex energy and electrical infrastructure projects while building enduring capability, culture and leadership. The WA portfolio includes opportunities through 2026 and beyond.
We are recruiting for a Senior Estimator to play a crucial role in setting the estimating standard in WA. You will develop robust, bottom‐up estimates across a portfolio of projects — from early‐stage opportunities and ECI through to tender submission and handover to delivery teams. You will work closely with engineering, project management and procurement to ensure pricing is accurate, defensible and aligned with CPP's delivery methodology.
Responsibilities
* Build and own bottom-up estimates for multi‐discipline EPC projects
* Prepare and coordinate tender submissions, RFQs and pricing schedules
* Interpret designs/constructability inputs and convert engineering into costed scope
* Engage suppliers/subcontractors to validate pricing and procurement assumptions
* Establish WA benchmarks and continuously improve estimate accuracy (actuals vs estimate feedback)
Qualifications
* Essential: 8+ years' senior‐level estimating experience on large‐scale EPC projects, with exposure to multi‐discipline scopes (e.g., electrical, civil, plant, labour, logistics)
* Essential: proven capability in granular, bottom‐up estimating
* Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, including HV substations, and transmission networks
* Ability to interpret engineering designs and understand how design decisions drive cost
* Leadership style aligned to building a high‐performance culture in a new, growing office
