**About the role**
Reporting into the Payroll Manager and based out of our Ballarat site, this payroll covers all the Australian and New-Zealand McCain sites in both Wages and Salary. This critical role within the payroll team will ensure that the running and reporting requirements of the McCain Foods ANZ payroll are met in an effective, accurate and timely manner in line with current EBA, policies, procedures, award and legal requirements.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Manage all aspects of the time and attendance system (Kronos)
- Accurately updating payroll data in the payroll system in alignment with SAP
- Answering all routine payroll questions or collecting factual data in order to provide answers and resolve enquiries from managers and staff on conditions of service, entitlements and policy including enquiries on salary, leave, allowances, deductions, tax and superannuation according to the relevant awards and agreements
- Ensure payroll processes are appropriately documented and regularly reviewed to ensure accuracy and compliance
**About you**
To be successful in the role, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in the execution of payroll in a medium to large organisation;
- Strong working knowledge of, and ability to interpret applicable industrial instruments and legislation relevant to the position;
- Experience working with time and attendance system preferably Kronos;
- Demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines in a weekly payroll environment;
- High level computer skills including Microsoft suite, excel and specialist corporate systems;
- Ability to work without supervision and demonstrate initiative;
- Excellent organisational and time and priority management skills in order to achieve set objectives within timeframes for self and others;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
