Reporting to the Executive General Manager Business Banking, this role will lead a team that delivers to the Business Banking strategy and will focus on providing value for new and existing Suncorp customers by connecting customers to Suncorp products and services. Critical to this role will be building the Suncorp brand and presence outside of Queensland, by being customer obsessed and through strong employee performance and engagement and ensuring Suncorp is an employer of choice in regional communities.

**What you'll do**
- Lead and develop the capability of others through effective coaching, mentoring, professional development and performance management.
- Create, maintain and promote an environment that encourages employee's well-being and a safe working environment.
- Increase customer focus, growth and differentiation in the market through service excellence to customer and the management of sales and service outcomes across the Agribusiness & Regional distribution channel.
- Support the relationships and business development activities with 3rd party brokers/aggregators for relevant portfolios.
- Implement and monitor sales and servicing systems that deliver differing value propositions for business bank segments.
- Deliver effective Agribusiness & Regional relationship management and contact systems that improve customer retention, customer satisfaction and advocacy.
- Responsible for managing the financial drivers of Suncorp's Agribusiness & Regional bank base (prospective and existing) to grow and improve profitability.
- Design, implement and monitor an effective business plan to grow and improve regional profitability.
- Ensure balance sheet exposures in business bank base reflect Suncorp's Risk Appetite Statement, Bank's strategic customer segments and appropriate return for risk
- Manage to cost targets and budget as agreed.
- Maintain Suncorp's banking license.
- Ensure sound Risk Management principles and systems are in place. This includes proactively identifying risks, implementing actions and improvements and monitoring remedial outcomes.
- Ensure operational controls are robust and effective in delivering business goals including key areas such as resourcing, sales focus, operating hours, credit quality and complaints resolution.

.**What you'll bring**
- Extensive understanding of the Agribusiness banking environment within Australia
- 10+ years in depth commercial knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Industry.
- 10+ years Leadership experience.
- 10+ years experience in developing and driving strategies across a diverse workforce.
- Understand the global levers to the Australian banking market.
- Ability to collate and synthesis large arrays of industry and academic information including data sources to design and implement business plans.
- Demonstrated leadership and change management skills at senior executive level.
- Ability to develop solutions and courses of action and recommend solutions by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data, and determine cause-effect relationships.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and oral). Able to communicate complex issues in concise and simple terms to a large range of audiences (including at Executive and CEO level), with confidence and appropriate formats.
- Demonstrated capacity to drive, support and adapt to changing environment
