The Aboriginal Allied Health Assistant plays a vital role in supporting allied health professionals to provide culturally responsive, safe and high-quality services within the community.
This position offers an opportunity for professional growth and development, incorporating support to complete formal training (Certificate III or IV) in Allied Health Assistance. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals to ensure the smooth running of healthcare teams.
The selected individual will provide support across multiple allied health disciplines including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Eye Health/Vision rehabilitation, Diabetes Nurse education, Audiology, Disability and aged care and/or Dietetics. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting allied health professionals to deliver culturally responsive services
* Providing administrative assistance to the allied health team
* Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless service delivery
