Job Title: Metallurgical or Materials Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metallurgical or Materials Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
* Examine breakdowns, production defects, and performance concerns in materials by carrying out detailed inspections and technical evaluations to recommend improvements.
* Oversee manufacturing and treatment processes to verify adherence to engineering guidelines, safety regulations, and established quality benchmarks.
* Prepare specimens and perform detailed laboratory analyses on raw materials and finished products using approved methodologies and specialized testing apparatus.
* Document and evaluate experimental findings, compiling precise reports and maintaining organized technical records for reference and compliance purposes.
* Set up, adjust, and service analytical instruments and sample processing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
* Collaborate with technical specialists to determine mechanical and chemical characteristics of materials, including resilience, toughness, longevity, and resistance to environmental factors.
* Carry out comprehensive examinations of metals, mineral resources, and industrial substances to determine their suitability, consistency, and overall performance standards.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications or 3 years of experience in lieu of the qualification
* At least 1 year of experience
* Good time management skills and able to work under pressure.

Salary: $78,000 - $90,000
