The Role
The Australian War Memorial is seeking an experienced Partnerships Manager – Sponsorships, Grants and Advocacy to lead the delivery of the Memorial's Partnership Plan, secure external funding, and build strategic partnerships that support the Memorial's mission, programs and public impact.
This is a role suited to someone with a strong track record in partnerships, sponsorships, grant funding and government engagement within the arts, cultural, heritage, tourism or not-for-profit sectors.
Core Responsibilities
* Sponsorships – Secure and manage mission-aligned sponsorships that support the Memorial's exhibitions, programs and national role.
* Memberships – Grow and steward membership programs that build long-term engagement and support for the Memorial.
* Giving – Enable and encourage individual giving to support the Memorial's work, collections and public programs.
* Case for Support / Major Gifts – Deliver the Memorial's compelling cases for support to secure major gifts aligned to Memorial priorities.
* Annual Campaigns and Appeals – Plan and deliver annual fundraising campaigns and appeals to sustain and grow philanthropic support.
* Events – Deliver donor, partner and supporter events that deepen engagement and advance fundraising and relationship goals.
* Bequests – Promote and steward bequest giving to ensure long-term support for the Memorial's mission.
Position Eligibility
* Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).
* All applicants external to AWM that are offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a National Police Check, even if they currently hold a security clearance. The check is conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.
