Based at the TK MAXX Fyshwick store, this role will perform their duties at the ACT stores as required. The main objectives of the Loss Prevention Associate are to act as a visual deterrent to criminal activity, respond to incidents, promote compliance, and support the Loss Prevention strategy.POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDeter theft and fraud by completing high profiling activities and offering customer serviceEnsure all physical security systems are operational and functioning correctly (CCTV, alarms, monitors, tethers, security tags, detachers, locks, safes, punch code locks and keys)Manage customer access to tethered items and products in cabinetsManage the alarm codes for the storeRespond to EAS gate activationsRespond to incidents and gather preliminary evidence (Incident details, CCTV, property details etc)Refer serious incidents to the Loss Prevention ManagerIdentify and rectify any non-compliance with the merchandise protections guideReview EAS to CCTV reporting and notify the Loss Prevention Manager of known theftsConduct random SOH checks to test inventory accuracyConduct random bag checks on customers and AssociatesConduct random locker checksConduct random delivery checks to test inventory accuracyConduct Loss Prevention Awareness trainingBuild strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersPromote compliance with all policies and proceduresSupport stores with the cash collection and change processWork with Store Management to administer the UDA processIDEAL EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIESA current Security Industry Employee LicenceA current driver’s license and access to a motor vehicleAt least 3 years Loss Prevention experienceFlexible with local travel and working hoursStrong and effective conflict resolution skillsAbility to influence others and build relationshipsResults drivenAs proud as we are of our past success, it’s our future that excites us most.
