Responsibility and accountability for the forward planning and day-to-day leadership/management of store shifts and all the resources allocated to this operation. Key competencies are measured around Safety, Quality, Delivery, People and Environment. To understand, comply, and where necessary enforce, company policies and practices currently in place and any new policies/practices that are implemented.
**About the role**
**Health and Safety** - Champion/coach/improve H&S; culture and ensuring compliance within the Stores Department.
- Incident Investigation and Corrective Action requirements
- OH&S; committee member
**Change Management** - Key member of the Leadership group, responsible for implementation and sustainment of all continuous improvement activities, including best practice and standard operating procedures.
**Staff Development and Training** - Deploy team in accordance with their skills and capabilities. A 'hands on' approach to developing a strong stores team that is capable of sustaining the rate of change within the operation. Ensure each team member has a comprehensive Personal Development and Training Program.
**Continuous Improvement** - To be completely immersed in MDI and provide the leadership that the team requires to implement and sustain improvements made through Kaizen and Six Sigma events.
- Champion RTM and DAM
- Continuous Improvement board owner
- Availability and Performance ownership
**Quality (Product and Systems)** - Compliance with internal and external practices in line with auditing requirements and maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and compliance with the Food Safety Management System.
**People** - To lead the team through positive role modelling and influence. Develop a learning culture and empower and enable the team to succeed. A 'hands-on' approach to Employment Relations, including the setting and monitoring of KPI's and core competency goals, leave management, and a proactive approach to any performance issues. Champion engagement activities
- Labour coordination - cover during staff absences
**Compliance** - To ensure all aspects of the day-to-day operation of Stores are compliant with Local body, Legislative, and Corporate requirements.
**Environment** - To minimise the environmental impact of manufacturing processes by:
- Educating operators to be aware of their environmental responsibilities with proper
- training and ensuring resources are available to implement such actions.
- Ensuring compliance with the McCain Environmental Policy and ensuring policy is communicated to all Stores personnel.
**About you**
- Relevant industry and leadership qualifications and experience
- Background in warehouse operations
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Safety, GMP, HACCP, Environment and
- Quality Systems
- Good people and communication skills (across multiple departments and all levels of
- personnel)
- Ability to think logically and problem solve
- Results orientation with the ability to work on a variety of unconnected projects
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
