Aged Care Quality Clinical Support Officer
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Aged Care Quality Clinical Support Officer to support and lead quality improvement and care governance across our aged care services. This role is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of frontline aged care and strategic quality development. (Various tenure available)
What You'll Do
* Promote high standards of care and service delivery
* Monitor and support compliance with aged care legislation and standards
* Lead quality improvement projects and internal audits
* Coach and support clinical and care staff to enhance capability and confidence
* Prepare for accreditation and support external regulatory processes
* Ensure resident safety and dignity through proactive care governance
* This role will make a direct impact on residents' quality of life while supporting staff development and best practice care
What You'll Bring
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Minimum 3 years' experience in residential aged care or related healthcare
* Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation processes
* Skills in clinical auditing, incident management, and continuous improvement
* Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to support and influence teams
* A collaborative, proactive mindset with a focus on excellence in care
* Qualifications in quality improvement or governance will be highly regarded

About Central Gippsland Health
Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub-regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne. The City of Sale is an ideal access point for the Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
CGH provides acute care as part of an integrated service delivery model across Wellington Shire and beyond. The service provides beds across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield). Acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care unit, neonatal critical care unit, three operating theatres, day procedure unit, oncology and dialysis services in addition to general medical and sub-acute services including rehabilitation.
CGH is a major provider of aged care and community services in the Wellington Shire. We operate four residential aged care homes located in Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in supportive and homelike environments.
CGH also provides a wide range of community-based services that support people to remain healthy, active, and independent in their own homes. This includes Home Care Packages and other in-home supports tailored to individual needs.
Our integrated model of care is supported by a multidisciplinary allied health team offering physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and social work. We also provide accessible public dental services to further enhance community health and wellbeing.
Central Gippsland Health is a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.
