The role
The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services for the organisation's employees. You will ensure all operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities are accurate and delivered within appropriate time frames.
The Mediabrands stakeholders you will be working with include: HR, Finance, Shared Service Centre (SSC) team, Payroll Systems team in HK and Agency HR Global Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll daily operation
1. Ownership of payroll cycle two times (main cycle and off cycle) a month for over 750 employees, processing accurately to meet the deadline.
2. Update, maintain and administer any changes to payroll in ADP.
3. Data entry adjustments across both ADP & Hrlink (People Soft) systems and checking of data across both systems.
4. Single Touch Payroll reconciliation and reporting
5. Allowances, Termination, Backpay and Redundancy
6. Understanding of Payroll, Australian employment taxes (PAYG & Payroll Tax) & legislation
7. End of Month & End of Year processing
8. Management of the Government paid parental leave scheme.
9. Provide a responsive, accurate client advisory service on basic payroll matters such as resolving enquiries and assisting in identifying payroll errors.
10. Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-ups, client responsiveness and communication.
11. Management of the Payroll Officer
12. Work closely with the HR team on employee matters
13. Train the payroll officer and provide guidance and assistance where required.
14. Assist management in identifying issues and implementing potential improvements within the payroll function.
15. Managing superannuation, and reporting.
16. Manage Workcover related wages and payments.
17. Support on request various leaves calculations in system including annual leave and long service reconciliations.
18. Maintain staff novated vehicle lease payments, deductions and timely calculation of other salary sacrifices.

1. Monthly annual leave and long service leave reports
2. Monthly main cycle payroll reports
3. Off-cycle reports
4. Employee Referral Payments
5. Salaries adjustments and reconciliations
6. Pay cycle reports, e.g., SSL, GTF, Trials
7. Leave analysis
8. Finance month end
9. Provide month end payroll pack reports to finance team
About you
1. A minimum of 5+ years end to end payroll experience
2. Well-developed oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability for liaison, negotiation, and representation
3. Ability to work well within a team across multiple departments
4. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
5. Solution-focused – we love problem solvers.
6. Good time management to meet multiple tight timelines, while still maintaining work quality
7. Proficient in current payroll systems, such as SAP, ADP
8. Excellent communication skills, willing to work effectively with broad range of stakeholders
9. The ability to demonstrate a track record of utmost confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with payroll records, privileged information and other sensitive data
