New Vehicle Sales Manager- Melbourne
Job Responsibilities
To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department including the preparation of monthly management reports, overseeing expenditure and budget achievement, and mentoring sales consultants.
Identify and prospect new retail customers from within our primary marketing area
Understand the customers objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes
Build rapport, forming long term business relationships
Lead and undertake all aspects of the sales process, from prospect through to delivery.; and assist less experienced sales consultants
Promote a subset of company products and services ensuring successful introductions to Car Care and Finance & Insurance
Attend various business and industry events/meetings as required.
Lead, inspire and mentor a team of 6 to consistently exceed sales targets
Drive growth through innovative sales strategies and strong customer relationships
Maintain a daily focus on business performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction
Champion a culture where NPS and customer loyalty are as important as sales results
Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless customer journey
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the curve
Experience
Previous automotive sale management experience essential, with demonstrated leadership skills within a retail environment is essential.
Sound administrative and organisational skill sufficient to oversee administrative aspects of the Department
Exceptional communication skills
Sound computer skills and a proven ability to maximise output from available databases
highly professional approach, together with a proven strong work ethic
Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate sales personnel to ensure the achievement of targets
Strong track record of smashing sales goals and motivating teams to success
Commitment to exceptional customer experiences and improving NPS outcomes
A goal-driven mindset with the organisational skills to keep a business performing
Manual Driver's License (Motor Salesperson/Dealer License preferred)
