We are seeking retail assistants to join our Village Grocer and UniShop team at UOW Wollongong campus. The successful candidates will assist in delivering customer and operational excellence.

Village Grocer offer a wide selection of affordably priced fresh fruits and vegetables, specialty deli items, everyday essentials, and delightful indulgences.
The Role
This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in daily operations and ensuring outstanding customer service standards are consistently met.
In addition, you will need to have the following experience and skills:
* Excellent customer service background and ability work in a busy customer service environment
* The ability to work in a team environment, whilst showcasing good leadership skills
* Familiar with supermarket or retail POS systems
* High level attention to detail and accuracy in work.
* Understanding of how to maximise financial return and deliver high operational standards
* Ability to work a varied roster during store trading hours, including flexibility to open and close the store during business hours
* A high level of problem-solving skills, including confidence in reacting to unexpected operational issues through to resolution.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
