The Research Education Support Officer coordinates the overall provision of operational and administrative HDR services, analyses matter, makes policy determinations and provides sound advice on policy and procedures for the completion or work activities.The Research Education Support Officer oversees and delivers an improved HDR student experience through monitoring emerging trends, practice and evidence for effective research training strategies and developing research training and skills development programs for both HDR students and academic HDR Supervisors. This is a highly customer centric position and your excellent client service skills are essential as we ramp up Face2Face activity again.This role may require travel between locations to support other work areas and will require attendance in the office 3 days per week.Your key responsibilities will be to:support and provide guidance to HDR students and academics on ongoing activitiessupport, advise and consult with academics, students, the HDR Administration Centre, Research Education Academic Directors, and other professional teams across the Universityorganise and schedule the twice-yearly progress evaluation meetings (PEM - with two additional supplementary periods)schedule meetings, manage outlook calendars, provide support in the organisational process of in-persona and online events, conferences, and event invitationoversee the implementation and facilitation of student, student led and supervisor workshopscontribute to content that is included in the RE teams HDR student platforms through channels such as the University intranet, canvas and newsletters providing, guidance to assist the interconnection of students and supervisorsundertake reporting and surveys.About youhas demonstrated experience using software/data systems such as Power Bi and Emma HQsound knowledge of student administration software programs is highly desirablehas advanced Outlook calendar management skillshas experience understanding and interpreting University policy and procedureshas a high level of experience in understanding student admissions, HDR, and managing events together with experience in a high touch customer centric environmenthas demonstrated creative skills, particularly as they relate to content and conveying communications to students, academics and or stakeholdershas experience in advising on matters relating to scholarship activities/applications/submissionshas excellent written and oral commutation skills, with a high level of confidence and assertiveness dealing with challenging stakeholder groups and individuals in research and academic environmentshas an initiative-taking and innovative outlook with the ability to be resilient under pressure in providing opinionated insights into the implementation of new concepts and initiatives that drive effectiveness and team collaborationhas experience in understanding research policy and protocols.Sponsorship/ Work Rights for AustraliaYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
