Role Description
Western State University invites applications for the position of Professor – BA Economics and BBA Programs for a full-time, remote role. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality curriculum across core subjects in Economics and Business Administration.
The role includes teaching undergraduate-level courses such as Economic Development: Analysis and Case Studies, Comparative Economic Systems, Economics of Latin America and the Caribbean, Organisational Behaviour, and International Business.
The candidate will also engage in student mentoring, academic assessment, curriculum development, and contribute to research initiatives and overall academic excellence of the university.
Qualifications
* A Doctorate (PhD/DBA) in Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching at the university level in Economics or Management subjects.
* Strong understanding of economic development, comparative economic systems, and global business environments.
* Ability to teach interdisciplinary subjects combining economics and business concepts.
* A strong research orientation with publications in reputed journals is preferred.
* Practical exposure to business environments, economic analysis, or industry experience will be an added advantage.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
* A strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment.
