The Role
Future Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems Program Office (FISRSPO) is seeking a Logistics Engineer to join the Logistics Management Unit to perform complex materiel Engineering and Maintenance logistics support system work in cooperation with the US Department of Defence to deliver materiel systems for the Royal Australian Air Force.
The position is primarily accountable to work within relevant legislative frameworks and policies and is required to work independently, exercise initiative and judgement to design and establish maintenance management systems for a range of Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare (ISREW) capabilities.
You will lead a small team providing technical advice and support in relation to the development and execution of plans, support concepts and strategies associated with the introduction to service of ISREW systems. You will deliver engineering and maintenance support solutions across ISREW Defence Aviation and Non-aviation systems requiring analysis, procurement, development, implementation and transition of materiel logistics plans, processes and procedures related to the support system solution for allocated platforms and system.

FISRSPO is currently responsible for two major projects set to imminently deliver the next two unique platforms to the Royal Australian Air Force fleet.
The materiel we acquire includes crewed and un-crewed aerial systems and ground control segments, training systems, and associated infrastructure and support systems. FISRSPO is also responsible for the integration of all elements of the Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC), to ensure seamless transition to service of the acquired capability, enabling achievement of Initial Operational Capability (IOC), and Final Operational Capability (FOC) on time and within budget.

FFISRSPO is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team. To be successful you will be an experience Logistics Engineer who has:
1. The ability to lead a small team and work in a dynamic environment;
2. Knowledge and experience in project management and/or integrated logistics support and understands the Project lifecycle;
3. An understanding of the principles and requirements of establishing maintenance management systems, publication and tool management, support and test equipment;
4. A background in maintenance systems and/or systems engineering (aerospace engineering highly desirable);
5. An understanding of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) and Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) service requirements;
6. The ability to demonstrate working effectively across a broad and complex stakeholder group.
