Office Based Position in Altona, VICThe Pricing Analyst - Acquisition is a key member of our Sales and Finance team within the broader Pricing function. 
This role is essential for driving strategic initiatives aimed at securing new business with our freight and warehousing customers. 
To succeed in this position, you must possess strong commercial acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with the Sales and Administration teams. 
Your goal will be to deliver competitive, margin-positive outcomes while creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets for quoting tools and pricing data.The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data analysis and experience with pricing strategies. 
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate margins and enabling seamless adjustments as needed.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping Commercial Strategies: Formulate pricing proposals aimed at achieving high customer win and retention rates.Streamlining Quoting Processes: Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets to enhance efficiency in quoting.Identifying Profit Improvement Opportunities: Provide insights through profit modelling and analysis to internal stakeholders and management.Analyzing Customer Behavior: Examine trends and collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to develop strategies and recommendations that enhance revenue and profitability.Conducting Customer Reviews: Review and prepare customer assessments and deals based on contractual obligations, tailoring commercial insights for various internal and external stakeholders.Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Finance, Pricing, and IT teams to drive favourable commercial outcomes and grow FAA's business.Enhancing Data Reporting: Collaborate with the IT department on system integration and business intelligence automation, ensuring accurate cross-analysis of processed information.Pricing Preparation and Verification: Prepare and verify pricing using in-house tools and models to ensure accuracy.Ensuring Competitiveness: Review and amend offerings to maintain competitiveness and profitability.Vetting Price Requests: Assess price requests for economic viability and liaise with the trading team as needed.Maintaining Compliance: Ensure compliance by updating regulatory and pricing-related information regularly.Ad-Hoc Analysis and Reporting: Perform additional analysis and reporting responsibilities as required.Team Collaboration: Assist Sales Admin team with ad hoc tasks for coverage when needed.What FAA are looking forRelevant Commercial Experience: Prior experience in a fast-paced business environment is essential.Industry Knowledge: Previous knowledge of the transport industry and its pricing structures is desirable.Analytical Expertise: Proven track record in delivering detailed pricing, commercial analysis, and margin/profitability assessments to key stakeholders.Problem-Solving Skills: A logical approach to problem-solving, combined with the ability to conceptualize and think creatively.Excel Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel skills are required.Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication abilities, with experience in conveying complex information to diverse stakeholders.Data Management Experience: Proficient in working with large and complex datasets.Data Modeling Skills: Familiarity with PowerPivot and tabular data modelling is desirable.Autonomy and Prioritization: Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and Tableau is desirable.Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail is essential.At Freight Assist Australia we believe our people are one of our greatest assets.
