Australian Construction Lawyers Pty Ltd is seeking an ambitious and articulate law student for a freelance legal clerical role.
This hands-on role would suit a 2nd to 4th year law student who wants to gain a competitive advantage by gaining real, hand-on experience at a growing and highly specialised legal practice.
Duties will include:
* legal research;
* attending meetings and conferences and taking notes;
* drafting and proofreading of correspondence and court documents under close supervision;
* e-filing of court documents;
* collating, tabbing and paginating of evidence bundles (electronic and paper bundles); and
* liaison with court staff, clients of the law practice and others.
This is a contract role, not an offer of employment. Subject to strict confidentiality requirements, the successful candidate will be free to work for others.
No experience necessary but strong English language skills, people skills and an ability and willingness to communicate clearly and confidently by every available means, including in person, by telephone, via email, Teams, Zoom and a secure online portal, are essential.
