The role of Urban Designer is to strengthen the company’s image as a quality service provider of urban development, design and planning throughout the government, institutional, business and commercial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct urban design and GIS analysis and produce plans, graphics, and reports to support client decision making.
- Co-manage projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and management plans.
- Research and apply urban design and GIS knowledge to create context-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on urban design projects.
- Pursue professional development and represent the company at industry events.
- Ensure quality assurance and clear communication with clients and project teams.
- Deliver project outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office, QGIS, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, QGIS and SketchUp (highly desirable).
- Effective communication capabilities for client relationships and team collaboration.
- Urban design, research, analysis and GIS skills to produce quality reports and plans.
- Knowledge of the WA planning framework and planning processes.
- Ability to manage projects, client relationships and support business growth.
