This service is conveniently located near the train station, our child care in Wellard provides easy travel options. Essential Qualifications- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an equivalent as recognized by ACECQA).-
- First Aid certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
Essential Skills and Attributes- In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to ensure quality practices and outcomes for children.- Capability to guide, mentor and provide direction to other educators in the room or setting.- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with children, families, colleagues and management.- Experience in designing, implementing and assessing educational programs that cater to the individual needs of children.- Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to promote a collaborative environment.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge- Previous experience in a Lead Educator, Room Leader or similar role in an early childhood setting.- Ability to create an environment where all children, including those with additional needs can thrive and learn.- Ability to work in partnership with other educators, support staff and external professionals to enhance children's learning and wellbeing.- Proficiency in using relevant software for children's documentation, communication with families and educational planning.
