In this role, you'll:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of property acquisition programs to secure timely land access for major infrastructure projects, ensuring outcomes are fair, compliant and aligned with Transport for NSW priorities. You'll provide strategic leadership across acquisition processes, including valuation, negotiation, compensation and early access planning, while maintaining a strong focus on probity and customer outcomes.
You'll play a key advisory role on complex and sensitive acquisition matters, including those involving Aboriginal Land Claims and Crown land, working closely with Aboriginal stakeholders, government agencies, legal providers and project teams to navigate competing priorities and achieve sustainable outcomes.
Leading a geographically dispersed team, you'll drive consistency, collaboration and high performance across acquisition activities. You'll also oversee forecasting, reporting and risk management, ensuring projects are supported by robust planning, clear communication and effective stakeholder engagement.
There are multiple opportunities available and these are located in Macquarie Park, Wollongong or Newcastle and Grafton or Wagga Wagga.

About you
You're an experienced property professional with strong expertise in land acquisition, ideally within large-scale infrastructure or government environments. You bring a deep understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks, along with demonstrated experience managing complex acquisitions, compensation negotiations and stakeholder relationships.
You're confident operating in high-pressure, politically sensitive environments, with the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining fairness, transparency and integrity. Your ability to interpret valuations, legal advice and technical information enables you to make sound, well-informed decisions.
You're also a capable and supportive leader who brings teams together, builds capability and drives consistent, high-quality outcomes across geographically dispersed environments. With strong communication and negotiation skills, you influence effectively and build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Essential requirements
• Tertiary academic qualifications as a real estate valuer as recognised by Australian Property Institute or equivalent industry qualifications.
• Current membership of any of the following professional bodies: the Australian Property Institute, the Australian Valuers Institute, or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
