The Opportunity
The purpose of the Construction Manager role is to manage and coordinate all site activities in conjunction with the Project Manager. You'll be responsible for the overseeing and directing of construction projects from conception to completion; managing of onsite workers; other personnel and contractors as well as overseeing the day-to-day aspects of onsite construction
This is a newly created position that will be dedicated to the recently awarded Golden Plains project, which will be the largest windfarm in the southern hemisphere. Regular travel to construction sites will be required.
**In this role you will**:
Provide empowering leadership to site teams - Foster a culture where people feel valued and respected
Provide timely and professional advice to the Project Management team
Issue tenders for subcontracted onsite work, select and engage subcontractor, manage the subcontractor relationship, and effectively manage onsite sub-contractors.
Ensure the construction related aspects of the project meet or exceed the required performance targets
Oversee and ensure projects are adequately resourced, while identifying future plant and equipment requirements

Previous experience in transmission lines
Qualification/s in either construction and/or transmission lines
Ability to communicate at all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
