In our pursuit for excellence, we encourage entrepreneurial thinking, challenge the status quo and inculcate a sense of ownership while fostering an environment of transparency, collaboration, respect and integrity among our employees, business partners and the larger community.Stamford Hotels and Resorts is currently seeking a Area Financial Controller that works across two hotels: Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport and Stamford Plaza MelbourneAbout The RoleAs an integral member of the Executive Team and reporting directly to the Singapore Head Office (CFO) and General Manager you will be responsible for providing management assistance whilst overseeing all finance, accounting and administration functions on a day-to-day basis. You will be required to lead a Finance Team as well as the Department Heads to ensure our Company meets its financial benchmarks. You will act as a strategic business partner to ensure the highest standard of financial management is achieved and assist the management team to manage the hotel to its highest standards and optimum financial return.Your Key Responsibilities Will IncludeInitiate and maintain effective control procedures to ensure all assets, liabilities, income and expenses are accurately recordedPreparation, review, and analysis of daily, weekly and end of period management reportsCompile and analyse financial informationAnalyse and control expenditures of all departments to ensure compliance to budgetary requirementsCollaborate with each Department Head on the financial performance of their outlets/departmentsCompletion of budgets and forecastsMentor and motivate Finance Team membersEnsure a continuous training program for all Finance staffAbout YouProficiency with Opera Cloud and SunSystems accounting systemsExperience with time and attendance and payroll processing systemsExperience with Excel and WordProven understanding of hotel operationsCA / CPA qualified essential with a minimum of 10 years’ experiencePrevious experience in the same or similar role with at least 3 years leading a Finance Team in a hospitality environment.Travelling is requiredCulture And BenefitsAs a team member with us you can expect to receive:Leadership and career development;Dry cleaning for business attire;Free duty meals and car parking;The opportunity to work with industry professionals in an exciting Hotel environment;An attractive food and beverage discount program.How To ApplyIf you live in Australia, have full-time working right to work, and believe you have the drive and skills to succeed in this role, please click the 'Apply Now' button.We thank you in advance for your interest in this position, however only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
