About the role
We are currently looking to recruit a Production Manager to join our team based in Mount Gambier, SA.
This is an exciting opportunity to motivate and lead our team to achieve great production outcomes. In this role you will be responsible for the efficient operation of our production processes, supervision of multiple teams spread across 24 hour operations, driving employees to meet quality and productivity shift targets, driving operational improvements and ensuring adherence to WHS and quality guidelines.
Reporting to the Facility Manager, your new position will be responsible the overall organisation and direction of our production activities. In this role you will be responsible for:
* Demonstrated experience in driving productivity and continuous improvement without jeopardising quality
* Demonstrated experience with dealing with complex machinery, including troubleshooting breakdowns and quality imperfections
* Providing guidance and feedback as to best practice, including research into production methods, and recommending and implementing initiatives
* Demonstrated experience in managing a group of production employees, including rostering, training and development, and dealing with performance related issues
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills and a high level of commitment to working effectively in a multi-skilled team environment
* Managing production output and costs and adjusting processes and resources to minimise costs
* Ensuring the workplace is safe including identifying ways to make the workplace safer
* Coordinating Health and Safety requirements for Compliance and Auditing
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday.
About You
You will ideally have the following attributes:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
* Excellent people management skills
* Excellent communication and people skills
* Enthusiasm and Energy
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.
