Network Operations Manager
The Network Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our Public Safety Network. As part of the NOCC team, you will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of the network, guaranteeing swift response to alarms, events, and notifications.
In this capacity, you will operate as the Incident Manager for all incidents occurring during your shift, mobilizing resources as needed to resolve issues efficiently. You will also oversee processes and work instructions used by the Level 1 team within the NOCC, working closely with the Critical Comms team to ensure case note quality, consistency, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of NOCC Operators, optimizing workload and priorities.
* Ensure the operations and maintenance of all network-associated services and systems.
* Effectively manage live incident, problem, and change management cases.
* Maintain SLA compliance, taking corrective action to mitigate contractual rebate points and maximize credit opportunities.
* Proactively manage events and respond to incidents to prevent service availability disruptions.
* Enforce high standards of accuracy and consistency in fault reporting and ticket commentary.
* Make informed decisions regarding critical, major, and emergency-type incidents and events.
* Liaise with Emergency Service Organizations and Agency customers to resolve faults or issues.
* Coordinate service outages and faults with relevant vendors and third parties.
Requirements:
* Post-qualification experience in an operational or technical environment, preferably in IT/Telecommunications/NOC Network Management/P25 Radio Telecommunications.
* Ability to analyze complex data and apply logical reasoning.
* ITIL certification, with a strong foundation in Service Management.
* Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams effectively.
* Degree-level qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications Engineering/Computer Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent knowledge.
* Australian citizenship is essential for obtaining and maintaining a baseline security clearance.
