Financial accountant

Financial Accountant role I am partnering with a large Australian healthcare organisation seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to take ownership of the end-to-end financial statement process, from preparation through to final submission. This is a key role within a high-performing finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of statutory and financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity environment. You will play a critical role in coordinating the financial close process and delivering high-quality financial statements that meet internal governance and external reporting requirements. Key responsibilities End-to-end ownership of financial statements from preparation through to submission Lead and coordinate month-end and year-end close processes Prepare statutory financial reports in line with relevant accounting standards Ensure accuracy and integrity of general ledger reconciliations and balances Liaise with auditors and manage audit deliverables Support compliance with internal controls and financial governance requirements Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting outputs About you Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent) Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience Proven ability to prepare financial statements in a complex environment Experience working through audit processes and tight reporting deadlines Strong attention to detail with a structured and process-driven approach Comfortable working in a large, complex organisation (healthcare experience highly regarded) Why this role?
