About The Opportunity 
We are seeking an experienced, energetic and highly motivated professional to join our Digital Services team as a Service Desk Officer on a permanent, full‑time basis. This role provides service desk functions and supports Councillors and staff to ensure the digital environment works with maximum efficiency. 
Responsibilities 
- Provide service desk functions and frontline IT support for Councillors and staff. 
- Assist in maintaining and supporting the digital environment to ensure efficient operations. 
- Communicate effectively with end users and stakeholders to resolve issues promptly. 
Qualifications 
Essential 
- Certificate IV in Information Technology or a related field 
- Solid experience in an IT support role 
- Experience providing end user support for enterprise technologies including networking, applications and infrastructure 
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 end user environments, audiovisual equipment and meeting resources 
- Strong written and verbal communications skills 
- Current class C driver’s licence 
Desirable 
- Microsoft Certified Professional or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert 
- Experience with multi-site enterprise networking (switches, routers, wireless) 
- ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification 
- Knowledge of Active Directory/Entra, SCCM/Intune, Office 365 and Technology One 
- Team player with flexible working hours availability 
Remuneration and Perks 
- Salary in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement 
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,563.45 per week 
- 35-hour work week
