Salary: AUD60 - AUD80 per hour + Salary Packaging Available

There are multiple locum opportunities available for nurses with experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), supporting vital health services in remote and regional areas across Australia. As a Locum AOD Nurse, you’ll provide culturally responsive care to individuals affected by substance use. You’ll work alongside local health teams to deliver clinical support, education, and harm minimisation strategies in communities that need it most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, interventions, and referrals for clients with AOD concerns
- Support detox and rehabilitation pathways
- Collaborate with Aboriginal Health Workers and local services
- Deliver health education and harm reduction initiatives
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development
About You:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in AOD, mental health, or community health settings
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully with diverse populations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel and work in regional or remote environments
- Full Australian working rights
